Skin Peeling

Skin peeling, also known as chemical exfoliation or chemical peel, is a cosmetic procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the outermost layers of dead skin cells. This can help improve the texture and tone of the skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and minimize the appearance of acne and other blemishes.

There are several types of chemical peels, including light, medium, and deep peels. Light peels, such as glycolic acid peels, are typically used to improve the overall appearance of the skin and are suitable for all skin types. Medium peels, such as trichloroacetic acid peels, are used to treat more severe skin issues, such as sun damage, and are typically only used on the face. Deep peels, such as phenol peels, are used to treat more severe skin issues and are typically only used on the face.

Some of the benefits of skin peeling include:

  • Improving the texture and tone of the skin
  • Reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Minimizing the appearance of acne and other blemishes
  • Improving the overall appearance of the skin
  • Stimulating collagen production
  • Improving skin hydration
